Несмотря на научные успехи последних десятилетий, у детей с онкологическими заболеваниями по-прежнему наблюдаются значительные различия в показателях выживаемости, отчасти из-за позднего выявления и ошибочной диагностики.</p><p>Цель данного исследования – определить уровень знаний и барьеры ранней диагностики рака на основе опроса врачей-педиатров в России.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Был разработан перекрестный онлайн-опрос с использованием структурированной анкеты, содержащей следующие разделы: демографические данные, знания об онкологических заболеваниях у детей и предполагаемые барьеры ранней диагностики детского рака. Опросник был разработан для врачей-педиатров, оказывающих первичную медицинскую помощь.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Было получено 597 ответов: 236 (39,5 %) человек не проходили обучение по детской онкологии в медицинском вузе, 489 (81,9 %) никогда не проходили подготовку по детской онкологии в рамках последипломного образования или непрерывного медицинского образования. В общей сложности 216 (36,2 %) педиатров не имели какой-либо подготовки в области детской онкологии. Половина (54,7 %) никогда в своей практике не сталкивались с первичными онкологическими больными. Менее 50 % правильных ответов о детском раке набрали 79 % участников опроса. Тремя наиболее распространенными препятствиями, по мнению педиатров, являются позднее обращение родителей за медицинской помощью, отсутствие детских онкологов в учреждениях первичной медико-санитарной помощи и отсутствие прямого доступа к необходимым диагностическим обследованиям на уровне врача-педиатра.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Данное исследование продемонстрировало ограниченную подготовку врачей-педиатров в области детской онкологии. В результате была выявлена их низкая осведомленность об онкологических заболеваниях у детей. Эти результаты свидетельствуют о настоятельной необходимости целенаправленных вмешательств для устранения выявленных препятствий на пути ранней диагностики рака в России. Необходимо укреплять систему здравоохранения и медицинского образования для точной диагностики и эффективного лечения всех детей, больных раком.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Background</title><p>Background. Despite scientific advances in recent decades, childhood cancer still has significant disparities in survival, partly due to late detection and misdiagnosis.</p><p>The aim of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and barriers to early cancer diagnosis based on a survey of pediatricians in Russia.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. A cross-sectional online survey was developed using a structured questionnaire containing the following sections: demographic data, knowledge about childhood cancer, and perceived barriers to early diagnosis of childhood cancer. The questionnaire was designed for pediatricians providing primary care.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. A total of 597 responses were received: 236 (39.5 %) did not receive training in pediatric oncology in medical school, 489 (81.9 %) had never received training in pediatric oncology as part of postgraduate education or continuing medical education. A total of 216 (36.2 %) pediatricians had no training in pediatric oncology. Half (54.7 %) had never encountered primary cancer patients in their practice. Less than 50 % of the survey participants scored correctly on childhood cancer. The three most common barriers, according to pediatricians, were parents’ late presentation to medical care, the absence of pediatric oncologists in primary care facilities, and the lack of direct access to necessary diagnostic tests at the pediatrician level.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. This study demonstrated the limited training of pediatricians in pediatric oncology. It revealed their low awareness of childhood cancer. These results indicate an urgent need for targeted interventions to address the identified barriers to early cancer diagnosis in Russia.
