<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) has proven effective in the treatment of several diseases, including acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In its standard version, ECP requires leukapheresis to obtain a fraction of mononuclear cells. The possibility of using leukapheresis is limited by the requirements for vascular access and the somatic status of the patient.</p><p>In the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, Ministry of Health of Russia was developed a new ECP method that does not require leukapheresis. This paper presents a description of two clinical cases of severe refractory GVHD treated by micro-ECP.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>экстракорпоральный фотоферез</kwd><kwd>реакция «трансплантат против хозяина»</kwd><kwd>трансплантация гемопоэтических стволовых клеток</kwd><kwd>острая РТПХ</kwd><kwd>хроническая РТПХ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>extracorporeal photopheresis</kwd><kwd>graft-versus-host disease</kwd><kwd>hematopoietic stem cell transplantation</kwd><kwd>acute GVHD</kwd><kwd>chronic GVHD</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Padmanabhan A., Connelly-Smith L., Aqui N., Balogun R.A., Klingel R., Meyer E., Pham H.P., Schneiderman J., Witt V., Wu Y., Zantek N.D., Dunbar N.M., Schwartz G.E.J.
