Subsequent Neoplasms

Abstract

Within the framework of the article, in an accessible form, patients cured of malignant neoplasm in childhood and their parents are told about the second tumors that can develop, as a later complication of treatment. It is shown that, like any other complication, these tumors can be prevented, and their early diagnosis will allow beginning timely effective treatment. The main risks and first signs of the second tumors are presented in the article, the main recommendations are given, how to lower the risks of development of the second tumors to the minimum values, and the main forms of emerging diseases are listed – cancer of the intestine, mammary glands, skin, and other.
