Under the leadership of Svetlana Varfolomeeva, for the first time in the Russian Federation, a direction in neonatal oncology was formed, and a number of multicenter groups were created for the study, diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors in children, which led to improved results of treatment of children with malignant tumors. As executive director of Regional Public Organization National Society of Pediatric Hematologists and Oncologists, Svetlana Rafaelevna promotes a number of key research, educational and research projects of the Society for the Health of Children of the Russian Federation. Under the guidance of Professor S.R. Varfolomeeva, more than 5 dissertations were prepared.
