Galina A. Novichkova is the leader in the diagnosis and treatment of children with aplastic anemia and acute myeloid leukemia. Under her leadership, scientific clinical protocols for the treatment of patients with these diseases were developed and implemented. She conducts a great deal of organizational research to reduce the number of infectious complications in children with hematological and oncological diseases.

Under the leadership of G.A. Novichkova introduced innovative protocols for the treatment of patients with hematological and oncologic diseases in the work of the Oncohematology Department of the City Clinical Hospital № 4 (Novokuznetsk), and the Oncology Department became part of the All-Russian Cooperative Group for the Treatment of Pediatric Cancer.

G.A. Novichkova is a major health care organizer. Under her leadership at the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, new organizational medical technologies were introduced for unrelated transplants in cancer patients, logistics, blood and cellular technology, electronic medical records and pharmacoeconomics.

Professor Novichkova is the author of more than 60 scientific articles, as well as 2 monographs and 4 chapters in national hematology manuals.
